Whether you are seeking rehab for yourself, a loved one, or a client Apricity is here to help.
Substance use disorder (SUD) is a complex phenomenon influenced by both biological and environmental factors. Research demonstrates that genetic predispositions can increase susceptibility to addiction, highlighting the disease aspect of SUD. However, environmental factors such as trauma, stress, and social influences also significantly contribute to its development. These factors shape behavior and can trigger or exacerbate substance misuse. Thus, SUD is best understood as an interplay between genetic vulnerabilities and environmental stressors, necessitating comprehensive approaches to prevention and treatment.
At Apricity, we initiate individual treatment plans to guide our clients' path to recovery.
When to ask for help.
A person should seek addiction treatment when their substance use begins to interfere with daily functioning, relationships, or physical and mental health. Signs such as loss of control, overuse, failed attempts to quit, and experiencing withdrawal symptoms indicate the need for intervention. Seeking treatment early can prevent the worsening of the disorder and promote successful recovery.
Connecting with admissions is the first step to connecting with the Apricity Treatment Program.
A Continuum of Care at Apricity
Research from the National Institute of Drug Abuse indicates that most people suffering from substance use disorder need at least three months in treatment to reduce or stop their drug use, spending more time in treatment results in better outcomes. Apricity’s continuum of care creates a path to recovery that helps our clients make continued progress in their initial treatment.
Apricity’s Apartment, Sober Living and Employment programs with peer and recovery coach support will keep you engaged after treatment. Recovery is a journey that does not happen in 30, 60 or 90 days, staying connected to healthy people in recovery is key to success.
