Russell credits the flexibility of Apricity's Contract Packaging employment program with making it possible for him to work full-time. He notes, "I didn't know there was a recovery workplace such as this. It's nice to know there are people that care and want to help out. People look down on mental health and addiction and the outside world doesn't want to help; here, they do."

With Russell's passion for veterans, he took on the 250-Mile Cycle Challenge to raise funds for Stop Soldier Suicide for the past two summers. In July, he proudly reported, he pedaled his Apricity-colored bike right past the 250-mile mark, riding 888.88 miles during July and raising $750 for the charity!
